Blogging "A website that allows users to reflect, share opinions, and discuss various topics in the form of an online journal while readers may comment on posts".

It's a lonely world the world of blog, you know you are reaching people, you can see the number of views that the blog has, but very rarely does anyone comment, debate or challenge so in some ways I have to question whether it's worth the effort.

It doesn't take long for me to find the answer to my own question, my answer is yes I think it is. If I wasn't writing this blog, would I take time to reflect on the week that had past, in all honesty I don’t think I would.

At the beginning of the week I was thinking about Miss Maggie's Supper box, It's like a pot not reaching the boil on a slow burner, I would love to see more page likes, more participation and more older dogs to help, but I also realise that I need to be patient as its very rare that things take off like a rocket and remain sustainable in the long term.

I am starting to give more thought about how to get Miss Maggie's fund out there, so that more people know about it and my future aim is for it to be a registered charity but I know thats a long way off ~ aims and ambitions are critical to me, I may not reach my end goal and I may end up with a home goal but whatever happens I will have tried and in my mind that's all that matters .

“Defeat is not the worst of failures. Not to have tried is the true failure.”

― George E. Woodberry (Professor of Comparative Literature, Columbia University, 1891-1904).

The end of the week brought fresh hope, I received 2 messages from Facebook friends Angela and Sarah. First up the exciting preview of 2 poems that have been written by Angela for a book of dog poetry that she will publish and the title of the book is going to be "Miss Maggie's Supper Box" it will include a few lines about Miss Maggie and also about her supper box fund, more news swiftly followed the book will include some specially commissioned sketches by artist Jamie MacDougall with the first 50 books including a signed message from the author.

I then received a message from Sarah, Sarah is making some wonderful owls that are proving very popular, anyone who buys one has a choice of where they want their payment to go. They can choose out of the following: Birmingham Greyhound Protection/ Evesham Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue and ........... Miss Maggie supper box fund. I have made it, I am in with the big players of the rescue world Horaah for Miss Maggie and her supper box fund.

I am so humbled by the kindness of both Angela and Sarah and I know that they are both doing what they can to raise the profile of Miss Maggie's fund. The picture today is one of Jamie MacDougall's beautiful and thought provoking illustrations.
